How is your English communication & cultural coaching different?
I am passionate about supporting individuals & teams to communicate confidently, naturally & professionally in English. This makes it easier for you to communicate effectively & connect with people.
I realise most people working with British teams & connections not only need English language, but also want to understand British people, the culture & ways of doing things. My combination of English communication & British culture learning is a unique part of my coaching.
I also want you to have a personalised, bespoke solution. I do not believe in boring, mass group courses or off-the-shelf identikit training, which do not give you the specific results you need to step-change your English communication skills or British cultural insight.
Ultimately, I consider myself an English communication coach, not an English teacher. It is an important differentiation because a teacher inputs content & tests their students to a required standard, focusing on right or wrong.
I take a different approach, as my clients have a confidence challenge in their English communication or British cultural skills. I support you to develop these key skills to boost your job performance, self-development & career growth.
Where do we meet for the coaching?

When can I do my coaching sessions?
Sessions can be flexible depending on your needs, fitting around your schedule in the early morning, during the day or in the evening.

Do you offer group training?
I offer English coaching for private clients & individuals in corporate teams, via your preferred online platform.
British cultural training can also be delivered as bespoke team workshops, online or at your workplace, for a half day, full day or for 2 full days.

What level of English do I need to start coaching with you?
I recommend that you have a minimum level of intermediate English to get the most benefit from my coaching. If you are not sure about your current level, then please book your initial consultation.
I have specific learning needs. Can you adapt the coaching to me?
Absolutely! That is the benefit of working with me as an individual client. My coaching approach is personalised to you & we can make sure we help you learn exactly what you need, in the way that works for you with your preferred learning styles.

Who will be my coach?
I am the head coach & your key contact for all Perfect Cuppa English coaching & training programmes.
When working with corporate clients for English communication coaching, I extend my team, working with a number of highly qualified, experienced & specialist associate trainers in Business English.
In this situation, each client is carefully matched to a trainer based on your needs & interests.

Do I need to sign up for a full programme?
When you book your initial consultation I will talk to you about your learning requirements & make a recommendation.
That might be a short intensive programme, a longer programme with regular sessions to cover a number of different areas, or occasional power hour sessions.
What are the fees for your coaching?
This will depend on your requirements & your programme recommendation. After your initial consultation, I will develop a full proposal with your objectives, programme outline & fees, which we agree on before you start.
Our online coaching programmes for individuals start from £997 for a programme of 10 sessions.
For corporate coaching & training, please book an initial consultation for a detailed review & to receive your proposal.
How do I pay for my coaching?
Our standard terms & conditions are that payment is due on invoice. I will invoice you in advance for the programme fees & we can start our first session as soon as payment has been received.
I ask clients to pay either by bank transfer, credit card or PayPal.
The start date of your coaching can be fully confirmed after receipt of the fees.
What if I need to cancel one meeting?
Occasionally you may need to cancel a meeting because you are ill, away with work or on holiday.
I plan & prepare a considerable amount of material in advance of each session, so I request 24 hours’ notice for cancelling or rearranging a meeting. I try to be flexible to rearrange meetings if I have availability.
If a session is cancelled less than 24 hours before the start of the meeting time, the full meeting fee is chargeable.
What if I need to pause my programme & take a break?
You may request to pause your programme for a period of time for illness or personal reasons, for example, if you are particularly busy, or need a break. Please make sure you give as much notice as possible, and at least 7 calendar days.
If this happens, I may need to find a replacement trainer to work with you when you restart your programme.
However, please note, all programmes must be completed within 12 months from the first meeting date in the booking.
If any sessions are not completed within the 12-month period, then you will not be able to transfer the sessions, or receive a refund.
What if I need to cancel my remaining programme?
The programmes are payable in advance to guarantee my availability for you. If for any reason you would like to cancel the programme altogether and not take any further sessions, it is requested that:
- If there is an issue, initially you speak to me to discuss any issues and try to establish a solution. I will provide a written action plan within 24 hours after the conversation to agree on how the issue will be resolved.
- If that does not resolve the issue within 7 calendar days after the action plan is confirmed, then you may request to cancel the programme, giving at least 7 calendar days’ notice in writing to me to terminate the programme. The termination date is 7 calendar days after you send the written notice.
- A credit note will be issued to the value of any meetings not completed by the termination date, after taking away any discount originally applied, plus an administrative fee equivalent to the cost of 1 session.
- You can use this credit note to rebook a new programme or restart your training up to 12 months after the termination date. If any credit remains after this time frame, then you will not be able to transfer the credit or receive a refund.
Do you teach English to children?
I specialise in coaching adults in private individual sessions, so unfortunately I do not offer English courses for children.
